Detroit Central Station - Taylor Tannehill

The photo above is of the now abandoned Detroit Central Station. Built in 1913 it was intended to be the hub for all commuters in the Detroit area. However, its demise was much like the that of the Pennsylvania Station. One important not is that it is really out in the middle of no where. This is due to the fact that the designers imagined it would be the focal point of prosperity in the area.

  1. The era this building was built in is one of my favorite architecturally. Much like the famous Hollywood Hotel, this building has a very classic look and it is a shame that it is in the middle of no where because this building could have been something. - John Chapman
