As I hope most of you already know, this is the Barry
Switzer Center, located on the corner of Lindsey and Jenkins. Although this
building has many features, including the football locker room, weightlifting
room, laundry room, and several offices, I think the area I enjoy the most is
where all of the trophies are displayed. I am a Game Day Assistant for the
football team, so I pretty much show the recruits where to go on game days.
This area is a perfect spot for them to be immersed in the OU football program.
Not only do they have an awesome view of the stadium (which it is attached to)
from the 3-story building, but also they can look down to the second floor and
see even more of the achievements that the program has earned over its years. I
think that although this building is new, it does an amazing job of restoring and
displaying the program’s history.
