Smog Killing Building - Taylor Tannehill

This photo is from the Vancouver Olympic village. Although it doesn't exhibit an impressive design it has a special titanium dioxide coating on the aluminum that mitigates the effect of smog. The coating interacts with sunlight to break down compounds that contribute to smog. The company estimates that 10000 square feet of the coating has the same affect as 80 trees.
