Raintree- Erin Carbrey

Growing up, I went to a Montessori School. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it is a school where kids get to work at their own pace and do things more on their own time. It really helps them explore their strengths, creativity, and interests. Everything in the classroom is child size, and is very inviting to children. The one I attended has swimming pools, a large playground, a pond with paddleboats, and a pig. The layout of the land is awesome and really stretch’s children’s minds out to their full potential. The colors and materials used really make the whole building feel natural and environmentally friendly. They actually have a compost where they put all left over, unsalvageable food, which, along with the many gardens to water, teaches children from a young age how important it is to take care of the earth. When I was younger, the building burnt down, almost completely, but they have since rebuilt it and created something even more amazing.
