These two pictures are of The Breakers in Newport, Rhode Island. They use to be home to the Vanderbilt family who were railroad barons. I think these homes were fashioned after French Chateaus. Inside the house is simply put, overwhelming in detail. Its a museum now, but to have lived there must have been intense. They had an army of servants operating the house and its located off the Atlantic and it has a huge backyard. I don't think a home can be as ornately decorated inside as the Breakers. Truly one of a kind.
