South Oval Fountain - Benjamin Colbert

The south oval fountain was my favorite spot of the four places. Even though the view is slightly obstructed by nearby trees there was a great feeling of openness. Due to the grass and a few trees the oval smelt of urban vegetation. The landscaping around the fountain was an added bonus. Flowers that surrounded the small pond put out enough pollen that a person could almost taste it, which isn’t great for a person with allergies. The sound of water from the fountain permeated the quad. Standing in front of the fountain, facing south, you could see how the dorm buildings obstructed the Oklahoma horizon. At night the fountain looked like it was glowing. The view of Gould’s arching hall was the most amazing part of this area. It was stunning at night and is why the fountain was my favorite.
