Yang Zhou Garden--Shuyu Meng

I took these pictures last spring in Yang Zhou, the southeastern city of China. The architecture in the north and the south of China is quite different. The southeast of China is warmer and there are so many rivers. The weather there is really nice especially in spring. At that time, there are so many flowers and trees.
This building has a history of about 300 years. It was the home for a officer. There are many wooden buildings with gardens. The character of this home is that there are many man-made hills and rivers within the gardens. It is well designed so that buildings and gardens are harmonious.
